Now that the warning's out of the way...

It's official: I'm a deserter. Canaan x Maria is my new OTP. After Maria's inner-monologue, it was obvious she had feelings for Canaan (for a while now, it's been evident that Canaan loves Maria). Besides, I just can't ship Alphard x Maria anymore...not after what Alphard did ;_;

SERIOUSLY, I DID NOT SEE THAT ONE COMING! I was figuring that Alph-sama would probably tie Maria up someplace dangerous and possibly kick her once or twice (which would be similar to the last time Maria was taken hostage). Wow, could I have been any more wrong?! Maybe it was because their little chat confused the crud out of me. I mean, I get that Canaan's stronger when somebody she loves is in danger...but did Maria honestly realize that she was agreeing to let Alphard SHOOT her?! 'Cause I sure as heck didn't :/

Y'know, I didn't really think that I cared about Maria that much. For most of the series, she's been a tad too optimistic/wimpy for my liking. So I thought, "Hey, I don't care what happens to her!" And I was disappointed, because I couldn't feel the excitement I had when I first began watching Canaan; the show was slowly becoming mediocre. ...And then Maria was shot, and I had to watch as she lay bleeding to death in a locked compartment (with a ticking time bomb). Everything changed. I really started to realize that Canaan (both the series and the person) would be nothing without Maria. I'm honestly going to sob my eyes out if she dies (can you say "cliffhanger"?!)...and I've already cried several times (especially when Yun-yun separated the carts and left Maria to die T^T). EPISODE 12 WAS INTENSE! It really made me remember why I love this series so much!

Gotta say, Alphard and Canaan's fight was AMAZING! Type Moon did a stunning job directing/illustrating their attacks/etc. (it feels almost like you're watching a dance, albeit a deadly one). I was BLOWN AWAY. Haha, I also find it amusing how Alphard always manages to pin Canaan up against something. LMAO.

Although Alphard's definitely showing some darker (true?) colors, I'm hoping that she won't die. Despite everything, Alph-sama still stands as one of my favorite characters, and I'll be honestly sad to see her go. Of course, since my favorite characters usually all die, I'm not too hopeful -_- Anyway...CANAAN AND MARIA HAD BETTER SURVIVE! 'Cause if they die, Mino'll have to become the main character. THAT. WOULD. SUCK. (not a Minoru fan)


*whistles* That was a looong post! Sorry about that? *pauses* I honestly hope I'm not just ranting at myself (which I probably am Dx). So, ah, if you've got something to say about the Canaan series/episode 12, please comment~? It'd make me feel less alone ^^
